Visit Energy Park at Wisconsin State Fair, Aug. 1-11, for free family fun. Our daily lineup features performances, exhibits and demonstrations in a clean, relaxed park setting. Energy Park is on the west side of the fair grounds on Wetley Way at Center Street.

Solar Power Pollinators scavenger hunt

Stop by the Solar Power Pollinators activity station, presented in partnership with Discovery World. Pick up a scavenger hunt card, explore Energy Park and build your very own Solar Power Pollinator. Choose your butterfly or bee, decorate it, then add your solar cell and vibrating motor. Learn about solar energy by creating a simple solar circuit. Once built, your Solar Power Pollinator will be energized by the sun.

Attracting Hummingbirds

Create a garden filled with hummingbirds’ favorite flowers. Energy Park’s feature garden is filled with vibrant flowers you and the hummingbirds can enjoy. Melinda will discuss these plants and other strategies for attracting these pollinator beauties to your landscape.

Owls, falcons, eagles, oh my! In this family-friendly 30-minute program, see raptors up close, learn about their hunting skills, and hear about conservation efforts that help protect them.

Meet reptiles, amphibians, a hawk and more in this 15-minute program about Wisconsin’s wildlife. Learn about each creature’s habitat, followed by hands-on interaction with a few of the animal ambassadors.

National Theatre for Children

National Theatre for Children

Energy Endgame is a hilarious, action-packed adventure that teaches children about energy efficiency. Crash ReBoot need help figuring out who (or what!) is sabotaging the energy supply at GameCo, his game design company. Audience interaction, useful money-saving energy tips, and actor hijinks will all be found at Energy Endgame.
