Good question. We ask for the last 4 digits of your Social Security number (or Employer Identification Number for business accounts) because only authorized users can access My Account. Typically, these are the name(s) listed on your bill. However, you can add additional authorized users at any time.
If you'd like to add authorized users to your energy account, please contact customer service at 800-242-9137.
As an alternative, select "alternate privacy check" and we can verify your identity with the phone number on the account.
If you remove this account from My Account, you will no longer be able to view your PDF bill or pay online using My Account. The energy service will not be affected on this account if it is removed from My Account.
