Our foundation supports environmental education, resource preservation and conservation programs that guide our communities toward a sustainable future.
Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin
Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin (NRF) supports public conservation priorities throughout Wisconsin. With more than 2,000 members, NRF creates opportunities for people who care about Wisconsin's lands, waters and wildlife. Our foundation funds have contributed to the NRF mission of deepening the public’s understanding and appreciation for natural resources, to support state and local conservation programs and to establish conservation endowments. Our foundation has contributed to Wisconsin’s Adopt-a-Natural Area Program, which works to ensure long-term health and well-being of Wisconsin's most pristine land (state natural areas) by engaging the public.
Michigan History Foundation
The Michigan History Foundation (MHF) raises private funds needed to support Michigan’s statewide museum system and archival, archaeological, historic preservation, publication and heritage educational programs. In addition, MHF seeks to ensure that Michigan’s rich history and culture are maintained to collect, preserve and interpret the state’s past for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations. Our foundation supports MHF and sponsors its Four-Season Interpretive Trail System that allows museum visitors to explore 80 acres of forested ravines and rock outcrops. The trail system gives visitors an understanding of the relationships between natural resources and a pioneer industry, an appreciation of the challenges of moving wrought iron and breathtaking views of a 160-year-old industry that changed America and the world.
River Revitalization Foundation
Our foundation has supported the River Revitalization Foundation (RRF), which works to establish a parkway for public access, walkways, recreation and education, bordering the Milwaukee, Menomonee and Kinnickinnic Rivers; to use the rivers to revitalize surrounding neighborhoods; and to improve water quality. The RRF advocates environmental conservation, public access and sensitive recreation in metro Milwaukee’s river watersheds.
Mequon Nature Preserve
Striving to be a guiding example of restoration, the Mequon Nature Preserve returns urban/suburban areas to pre-settlement conditions and establish an environmental education conservancy and natural habitat that inspires exploration and cultivates stewardship. Our foundation has supported the nature preserve’s mission by contributing to the Nature Education Center.
