Which device is right for you?

While the thermostat is probably your best value, some reasons for selecting a control switch may be:

You already have a programmable thermostat or do not want one.
Your air conditioner (AC) requires a special type of thermostat. Some new furnace/AC models use special thermostats.
You do not want the inconvenience of being home for an appointment to install a thermostat. (No appointment is needed to install an outside switch as long as we have clear access to your outside AC compressor.)
