There are a series of lights in the lower left corner on the front of the switch than only can be seen when they are on.

Normal standby mode
A single green light is on or flashing. The switch is in normal standby mode, and we are not controlling your air conditioner (AC).

Control mode

When we control your AC, a red light to the right of green light is on.

Note: The switch is designed so that it does not allow the compressor to work for up to 5 minutes after AC power is interrupted. Switch lights look exactly the same as when AC is being cycled. After 5 minutes, the switch releases control and AC operates normally.

If all lights are off, one of the following situations exist:

• No power is going to your compressor. Check your circuit breaker or fuse and AC disconnect box.
• Your switch is deactivated, which means you were removed from Energy Partners. Call 800-772-4797 to verify if you are currently enrolled in Energy Partners.
