Utility service disconnection also may occur when customers fail to pay their energy bills or fail to make payment arrangements. A disconnection notice is sent with their monthly statement advising them that their account is past-due and urging them to make a payment or payment arrangements. Several services are available to help customers avoid service disconnection. For more information on payment arrangements, call (800) 842-4565. Service reconnections are scheduled for the next business day after payment is received. Reconnection fees apply. In winter months (Nov. 1 - April 15), we cannot disconnect service unless the premise is vacant. If you would like service disconnection during this time, call us at (800) 242-9137 to schedule an appointment for us to verify the premise is vacant and to access the utility meter(s). Business customers are not protected by winter disconnection rules. |
