Cafeteria
Our
downtown company cafeteria is open Monday through Friday for breakfast
and lunch and features a wide variety of reasonably priced selections.
Cash Balance Plan (Pension)
Employees receive an annual interest credit and a benefit credit
to a personal account. Lump-sum distributions are permitted when
the employee leaves the company. Employees are eligible upon hiring
and may receive the benefit after 12 consecutive months of employment
and at least 1,000 hours of work.
Credit Union
A credit union offers employees various savings and checking plans,
as well as low-interest mortgage and auto loans.

Dental
Plans
Employees may choose comprehensive coverage or a dental maintenance
organization (where available).
Drug
Plan
Employees prescription drug coverage varies depending on medical
plan choices.
Fitness Center
Our 24-hour, fully-equipped fitness centers at selected company
locations are provided at no cost to employees and their families.
Free weights and various exercise machines are available, as well

Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees may set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified health
care and dependent care expenses. New employees are eligible after

Holidays
The following 10 holidays are observed each year: New Year's Day,
Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving
Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day,
and New Year's Eve.
Cellular Phone Discounts
Employees can receive a discounted fee for use of personal or business
cell phones.
Medical
Plan
Employees have a choice of plans that include the option of using
networks of physicians, hospitals and other health care providers
at reduced prices.
Personal Computer Purchase Plan
We Energies employees may apply to obtain an interest-free loan for up to two years to purchase computer equipment and software. The company provides financing, without a carrying charge, for a period of 24 months for personal computer equipment and software purchases of up to $2,000. Repayments are handled through payroll deductions.
Paid Time Off
Each year, employees are awarded a number of vacation days based
on holidays, years of service and union guidelines. Paid time off
also may be available for jury duty and non-active military duty.
Employees with fewer than six weeks of vacation may have the option
of buying additional vacation days.
Retirement Savings Plan
Employees may contribute up to 20 percent of their income to an account.The
company matches 50 percent of the first 6 percent of contributions. Contributions
can be made on a pre-tax or post-tax basis. Employee contributions always
are vested, but company matching contributions are vested after one year
of employment. The plan is administered by Fidelity Investments, which
provides a wide range of investment options.
Tuition Refund Program
Work-related courses are reimbursed at 90% for an A or B grade and
80% for a C. Full and part-time employees who meet program requirements
are eligible for reimbursement. Personal enrichment, or non-work
related courses are reimbursed at 60%.
Variable Incentive Pay Plan
Depending on company, department, team and individual performance,
eligible employees may receive an annual payout of up to 10 percent
of their salary.
