The selection process for some positions includes administration of aptitude tests, where applicable. Examples of these positions are:

Clerical and administrative support
Meter reading
Power plant operations or maintenance
Technician
Customer service
Power distribution
Line mechanic

Testing brochures and practice tests

You can obtain testing brochures and practice tests at the Edison Electric Institute Web site. The testing brochures include brief descriptions of test components and sample questions. The practice tests include general instructions, suggested time limits, answers and an explanation of some answers. Available practice tests include:

System Operator/Power Dispatch
Technician Selection System
