Duties
Principal duties of the Line Mechanic occupation are:
Line Mechanics regularly work aloft on de-energized and energized circuits and use rubber gloves, sleeves, hot stick tools and other insulating devices as appropriate.
Line Mechanics must respond to a reasonable amount of callout as necessary to restore customer service.
Education and experience requirements
Electrical power distribution degree preferred.
Licenses and certifications
Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements. The selected applicant must obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of job entry.
Line Mechanic is a four-year apprenticeship leading to a Journeyman’s card.
