Working and using equipment

Any piece of equipment or object can be dangerous if it comes into contact with a power line. Always stay 10 feet or more away from power lines. Use great care when performing the following activities:

• Operating high-lift equipment or vehicles like dump trucks.
• Using ladders or similar tools.
• Installing gutters or other hardware.
• Guiding loads on cranes or transportation equipment.

Cranes
OSHA regulations for crane operation (29cfr1926.1400) may require 20 feet or more clearance from power lines, depending on voltage. Get power line voltage by contacting customer service: 800-242-9137.
