Wind Turbine
The We Energies wind farm is on schedule for completion this summer. We will announce tour dates for our Blue Sky Green Field wind project when construction ends.

Observe how wind turbines generate electricity at the largest wind farm in Wisconsin. Set on 10,600 acres, the wind project - once complete - is capable of producing a total of 145 megawatts of electricity from 88 wind turbines. This power is enough to provide energy for approximately 36,000 homes.

Solar Power
The Wisconsin Solar Tour is held each fall (usually the first weekend in October) to demonstrate that renewable energy is practical, reliable and affordable. Tour locations are sites owned by ordinary people who live or work there. They are helping others open the door to renewable energy. Although it is officially called the Wisconsin Solar Tour, sites include a variety of technologies and features:

• Wind and solar (PV) electric systems
• Solar thermal and solar water heating systems
• Green building construction and passive solar design
• Energy efficient heating technologies
• Energy efficient appliances
• Environmentally friendly landscaping
• And more!

The Wisconsin Solar Tour is part of the National Solar Tour, coordinated by the American Solar Energy Society.
